    Set the record straight!

    What does this expression mean?

I 'd congratulate her and a coworker for doing a great job on a project, and she'd write me a note telling me the coworker hadn't help her all that much. She just wanted to "set the record straight."

What does "Set the record straight" mean?

She wanted to correct the error that you had made (in including her co-worker.)
