    Ellipsis dots

Let's say you're quoting a paragraph and want to show that you've left out a sentence. Do you use three ellipsis dots to show this? Or four dots? Or do you do something else?

“The letter A is to be inserted after the licence number of the licences of players who do not possess the nationality of a non-member country associated with the EU whose nationals have equal rights as regards freedom of movement under Article 39(1) of the EC Treaty. ... In teams in the federal and regional leagues, no more than two players whose licences are marked with the letter A may play in a league or cup match.”

    Thanks!
