    Naboth's vineyard

    Dear teachers,

Would you tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

Periods of drought…...made the fens a Naboth’s vineyard….. even to the men of the oases.

    Naboth's vineyard = a subject of envy

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V
