    I'd like to ask about short answers to the question:

    Does she have to see the doctor?

    I'm sure about the following:

    Yes, she does. No, she doesn't.

    Is it also correct to reply?:

    Yes, she has to. No, she doesn't have to.

    I'd be grateful for any help.

    Is there a good grammar book I can read about it?

    My personal feeling is that using the construction with the to is more emphatic, strengthening the sense of obligation. So far I haven't been able to find any authorities to support (or reject) my feeling.
