HI,
I'M STRUGGLING A BIT AS IT'S BEEN SOME TIME SINCE I TAUGHT AND I'VE BEEN ASKED BY A STuDENT: (sorry about caps)
List verbs without an object in the following,
1, She explained to her guests why she took up cooking as a hobby.
2, If you want to catch the morning flight, you'll have to get up at 5.30.
3, Please stand up, the bride is entering the room.
4, Speak up, please, I can't hear you very well.
5, This is the second time they have invited you. You can't turn them down again.
6, Put down the receiver and then take your card out.
7, Sit down and make yourself at home.
8, Buy it next week when we expect the price to go down.
9, Let me write down your number so I don't forget it.

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Welcome to the board, Andy.

You certainly need a refresher course if you're calling yourself an English teacher.

The idea here on the forum is that you attempt to find the answer first and then we comment.
