    which one is correct?

    I come up with two ideas about how to express the following message, but not sure if both of them are correct or just any of them correct, or nethier.

    Please correct me if you find anything wrong with the examples below.

    Actually I intended to mean the same for the following 2 exampes.

    1. I hurried to use the coupon since it was the last day on which the discount coupon was available.

    2. I hurried to use the coupon since it was the last day for the discount coupon.

    In both sentences omit the second coupon and they are correct.

    It's clear that the coupon is to be used to claim a discount. It's tautological to use coupon twice in the same sentence.

    You could also say 'I hurried to use the discount coupon since it was the last day on which it was available.'

    Where I live, coupons have an expiration date. You could say "I hurried to use the coupon since it was going to expire the next day."
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
