    join the angels

    Dear teachers,

Would you tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

I will continue to write until the time comes to join the angels. (M. Twain, “Speeches”)

    join the angels = die

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V
