Question IN or ON or AT

Hi, I have a quick question.

I was writing a sentence that goes, "What is happening on(in or at?) the other side of the earth from your country really affects your country."

I wonder which article I need to use.

Plus if the sentense as a whole is awkward, please correct it.

    Thank you very much.

It's not an article, it's a preposition and the correct one to use is "on".

You could say 'What is happening on the other side of the earth that really affects your country?' I don't think there's a need to say country twice, which makes the question less wordy- the context makes it clear enough for me what you mean.
