    She worked for the 'Marker' magazine.

    She worked for 'Marker' magazine.

    Again, sentence no. 1 is correct with 'the'?

    No, probably because some magazine titles contain the, 'The Economist', for example.

    So:

    She worked for 'Marker' magazine.
    She worked for 'The Economist' (magazine).
