    underline/underscore

    underline/underscore
Do the two words mean the same thing?
    Or:
    1. underline = a line directly under letters,
    words, etc.?
    2. underscore = a line underneath between
    letters? between___words
    Thank you.

    Re: underline/underscore

They are different and your definitions are correct, though underscore is mostly used in email addresses, file names, etc.
