Hi,
I'm an Italian translator and I'm currently translating a new adaptation of Peter Pan.
Do these names ring a bell, i.e. do they have a hidden, second meaning?
Smee
Noodler
Skylights
The book is on-line there are many links.
Thanks a lot in advance

There doesn't seem to be a pattern there. "Hook" is obvious, the other names are not. There were several Captain Smees at the time, and "Noodler" could be a play on "noodle (fool)", and "skylight" is nautical slang for "an eye", but what proof is there that the author chose those names for those reasons? The names appear to be a list of people known to the author, and maybe others at that time.
