    need a cab

I would like to know what words/phrases I should use when I call a cab company for a cab. I am interested in learning about different possibilities, i.e. calling for myself, calling for someone else (friend, acquaintance, someone who needs help, etc.) and also for scheduling for a day in the future.

This is what I think one should say, but for some reason these don't ring right to my ears (maybe I'm just over thinking this).

    For myself:
"Hello, I need a cab at (location)..."

    For someone else:
"Hello, I need a cab for a friend at (location)..."

    For a future date:
"Hello, I would like to book a cab for (date) at (time)..."

    Re: need a cab

They all sound fine to me. There's also "Please send a cab to ... ."
