    Smile Aunt Maria

    Hello,
I'm wondering what the underlined words mean.
Is it similiar to "Oh my god!" or something?
    Please help! Thank you.

"Oh! Aunt Maria!" he exclaimed a little slangily. "I never thought of that. It would be nice!"

    Re: Aunt Maria

Unless he was actually talking to his real-life Aunt Maria, yes - it sounds like a very mild and inoffensive expletive.

    Re: Aunt Maria

Could it be a euphemistic reference to the Virgin Mary? The (Spanish, I think) expression Santa Maria comes to mind.
