    prepositions at / in

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to explain to me the usage of the prepositions in bold in the following two sentences?

My brother reads this newspaper at home every day?

Our secretary usually buys books in this shop.

Every day they have dinner at home.

Are you sure that tit isnít cold in the street.

My brother often meets these programmers in the country.

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V

    Re: prepositions at / in

In my dialect we'd say, "Are you sure that it isn’t cold outside."
