    let and allow

    People can u tell me some rules for using let or be allowed to. I know it for me by intuition but when u have to teach it to others it doesnt work :)

    You let someone do something.
    You allow/permit someone to do something.

    Someone may be allowed/permitted to do something.

    Let has no passive form, though some phrasal verbs formed with let have.
