    Were

"Iguodala would seem to be a great fit alongside Paul, as long as the Hornets were able to keep some outside shooters."

I read that sentence on ESPN.com, and my question is whether it would be correct to replace "were" with "are." Also, how about replacing "were" with "would be"?

    Thanks!

    1. Possible, though not necessarily 'correct'.

    2. No.
