    Penalty goal

    - Yesterday England returned in triumph after defeating Germany one-zero by a penalty goal. England really deserved this victory.

    - Are these two sentences natural to say?

Thanks so much to Teachers and other members!

    Re: Penalty goal

I'd say '...after beating Germany one-nil with a penalty'.

    The second sentence is fine.
