    When you send the e-mail to one person, CC the person who is asking you to copy him/her.

    I send an e-mail to you. I CC it to Jim. I have copied Jim on the e-mail.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
