    Can we say in a humorous way "I od'd or overdosed on french fries." meaning I ate too much?

    Yes, I would understand what you meant if you said that. I have heard native speakers use similar expressions and even say they have overdosed on abstract concepts - “overdosed on cute”

    Be careful though, it sounds a little flippant or perhaps even juvenile, and some people are sensitive about the topic of overdoses.
