Hello there

I wanted to know your opinion about my accent in this short reading of a short story. The sound quality is not the best.In fact I recorded myself using a 15 years old old-fashioned tape recorder. Then I just brought it to my pc by recording it with a microphone. But surely, you will be able to listen to it.

I'm a native speaker of Spanish(from argentina) and my attempt was to sound like an English.
I began(or started) to speak English this year,so tell me what do you think about it.

it's a downloadable mp3

PD:pay no attention to my hesitating at the beginning of the recording.

You sound spanish, a little practice will be good but I can understand you. Your pronunciation is far better than me.
What do you mean by lada, that thing you put against the wall?

Oh, "lada" would be "ladder". I exagerated the pronunciation of the front "a"(æ) a bit, yes :p.

Thanks for your reply!

Hi, Ermaks. Your pronunciation is clear, I like it. You do sound Spanish or Italian indeed (I know you're from Argentina but I couldn't tell). You pronounce the stressed syllables in that characteristic Southern way: you make them longer.

Hello. Thanks for replying and for giving me your opinion. I've been having some difficulties in shortening the stressed syllables. Well,I think it is so because when one starts speaking for the first time, one tend to exaggerate a little the pronunciation of sounds. I'll see If I can balance it and try to sound a bit more natural.
