    What does it mean?

    Hi everybody,
It's been a long time. I missed this great site.
I wanna know what are the words from these"a.m" and "p.m" which are used with hours" of course you know that but to make sure you got my point:D".

    Great to be here.

    Regards,

    Re: What does it mean?

12 a.m. is midnight, just as 12:00:01 a.m. is one second after midnight.
12 p.m. is noon, just as 12:00:01 p.m. is one second after noon.

Edit: Two astronomy articles have just said that 12 a.m and 12 p.m are meaningless and should be 12 midnight and 12 noon. However, they agree that 12:00:01 a.m. is one second after midnight and 12:00:01 p.m. is one second after noon.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
