    is this sentence correct ?

    Hi all,

Is this sentence/ phrase correct ?

    1. vitally pivotal

Do I need to delete ''vitally'' ?

    2. We chatted for a while about poetry, with which he showed considerably more than a nodding acquittance

What does '' with which '' refer to ?
    what is nodding acquittance ?

    3. What is the difference between '' absolute phrase'', ''absolute construction'', ''absolute clause'' ?

    4. what is the difference between modifier and appositives ?

    Many thanks

    1 I would
2 A nodding acquaintance means you know something, but not much (like a person you nod to but don't stop to chat). Of which refers to poetry (acquittance and with which don't work)
