    circuit basis

    Hi

What does it mean when people work on "circuit basis".

    For example:

I came to town and wanted to talk to some people working there, but they operated on some sort of circuit basis and wouldn't be back in town for a couple days.

    Re: circuit basis

Dictionary.com tells us that circuit means

a periodical journey from place to place, to perform certain duties, as by judges to hold court, ministers to preach, or salespeople covering a route.
