    tell about

    Hi,

Is this sentence correct? If so, what does it mean by "tell about"?

He told about Silver, who was kind and charitable.

P.S. If the sentence is wrong, just let me know, I will leave it out.

    Thanks a lot

    NOT A TEACHER.

Did you mean to write, "He talked about Silver, who was kind and charitable"?

"He told about Silver" is not necessarily wrong, but we would need more context to determine if it is.

    Re: tell about

You need 'he talked about Silver...' as Jasmin said, 'he spoke about Silver...' or 'he told us about Silver'.
