    Is this sentence correct?

    Hi,

    Is this sentence correct?

They’re happy to stay in the same old groove.

Will it be misunderstood as the idiom "in the groove"? Thanks a lot

If you are saying that the people are happy to keep the same habits and not change their way of living, it sounds fine to me.

If you disapprove of their doing the same thing over and over, you could say that they are "in a rut."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
