    blow up and blow out

    Dear teachers,

    I have two questions:

    No.1

We received the order to repair the bridge that had been blown up by the enemy.

    My question is:
Can I use "blown out" to replace "blown up"?

    No.2
Can I say "He was infuriated speechless"?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you in advance.

Re: blow up and blow out

...though informally a soldier might 'take a bridge out', and I'm sure the two expressions have been accidentally conflated more than once.
