    "Did I tell you that he got a postcard at Christmas from the character's niece saying that there was a lot of resemblance to her uncle in the way he acted in the movie." Correct?

    I got an impression that you like the past perfect a lot. When I put "at Christmas" I meant that it was already Christmas. We use "at" with Christmas.
    An actor who played a character.

    A real character from everyday life. His niece saw the movie.
