    my question is about spelling,i always have a problem with spelling measurement , improvement.......and words alike , i dont know when should i add the e like in the word measurement after the r and when shouldnt i add it like astonishment (after the m)
    so is there any trick to know these words or any rule ?
    and my second question is about doubling letters
    like the word collect
    do we say collected or colected , collecting or colecting and such a like

    I don't know of any rule in when an "e" is there or not.

    "Collect" already has two "l"s in the middle. To form collecting, you would not change the root of the word.
