    Do you think?/I am.

Last night, in an American movie, I've heard this

A> Do you think all those things are connected.
    B> I am.

    Does he want to say

At this moment, I am thinking that way.

    Could be.
If so, it's one of those situations in which the brain and the mouth move at different speeds. It's not unusual in conversation, and may strike neither speaker nor listener as normal at the time. If you recorded it and played it back to them later, they might well find it as strange as you and I do.
