    Help please...

    I set type and print memorial folders for our local funeral home. On the back of the folder, it is customary to put the following sentence;

    The Jones family sincerely thank you for your support, prayers and kindness during this difficult time in their life.

    Sometimes, depending on the family, we personalize it a bit and change it to; Bob's family sincerely thanks you....etc.

    My question is on using the words thanks (vs. thank) and life (vs. lives)....
    Which is the correct way to say this (these) sentences?

    Thank you for your help.

    I suggest

    The Jones (or Bob's) family sincerely thank you for your support. . . during this difficult time in their lives.
