    Re: Basic

'Tomorrow night' is correct, as are 'yesterday night, and 'last night'.

'The previous night' is the one before the one about which we are speaking.

    Re: Basic

The phrase 'yesterday night' would be awkward in my dialect.

    If today is Tuesday, then

    • last night <Monday>
    • the previous night <Monday>
    • the night before last (night) <Sunday>
    • tomorrow night <Wednesday>
    • the night after tomorrow (night) <Thursday>

    Re: Basic

In my dialect, 'yesterday night' is perhaps less common than 'last night' or 'yesterday evening' , but it is not awkward if I am referring to the evening period. If I am referring to the period when I am normally in bed, I use only 'last night'.

'The night after tomorrow (night)' is not an expression I use. I can only refer to this by naming the day - Thursday night (for example).
