Would you tell me whether I am right about my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

How do you have the nerve to talk such nonsense?

have the nerve to do something = have the impudence to do something

You're correct in this context. You could also say boldness. I imagine that you know that it can also mean courage (in a different context,)
