    Worry/Be worried

    Hi there,
Is there any difference between the following sentences regarding the use of "worry" and "be worried".
The old man worried that he would have to go to a nursing home.
The old man was worried that he would have to go to a nursing home.
    Thanks.

There is no real difference in meaning in everyday use. You might argue about the finer points of implied meaning but I see no point in doing so.

Like bhaisahab, I too see no point in doing that.
