    keep something under wraps

    Dear teachers,

Would you tell me whether I am right about my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?

I do know the legal department is settling all claims quietly, as soon as they come in. They’ve figured there’ll be a few phone ones, but better to pay if there’s a chance of keeping the whole thing under wraps. (A. Halley, “Wheels”)

It goes without saying that this id to be kept under wraps until we decide. (F. Knebel, “Trespass”)

We have a new player, but we are keeping him under wraps until the game.

keep something under wraps = keep something secret

    Thanks for your efforts.
