    Re: Mineral Water

    Hi!

    Is that an expert opinion?

Then, why do we say Purified Water and not Pure Water?

I am referring to a bottled water that can be bought at a store.

    Many thanks! (",)

    Re: Mineral Water

My understanding is that mineral or spring water is untreated water bottled straight from a (usually specified) natural source.

Mineralised water has had minerals artificially added.

I would say that purified water has had its impurities removed, whereas pure water comes straight from the spring and has been certified to contain no contaminants.

This is not an expert opinion.

In a similar vein, distilled water is also called demineralized water. In one sense, this is really pure water.
