    Hi,

    Is it correct to say : Thanks for the birthday wish



    Or it's strange?? we would rather say only the word 'thanks'

    In Serbian, it would be OK (if I translated it literally), but it sounds to me a bit odd in English...
    But still, a good question!

    There's nothing strange about this sentence. We could also say "Thanks for your birthday wishes." It depends on the context. How was the wish conveyed? If it was in a card, you could say "Thanks for the birthday card."
