    a few collocations of "clothe"

    Dear teachers,

Would you tell me whether I’ve chosen the proper meaning of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?

Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for
“God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

be clothed with humility = put an apron of humility

They have to clothe their children.

I like to clothe the children in pure cotton it's so healthy.

David was clothed with absolute authority.

She hardly clothed her thoughts in words.

His thoughts were clothed in poetic words.

Spring clothes the land with luxuriant verdure.

The hills were clothed in mist.

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V

Yes, but the second sounds rather dated to me- you hea 'feed ad clothe' as a set phrase, bbut it is used greatly otherwise.
