    intercept

    Dear teachers,

    Would you help to me to make the proper choice of the meaning of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

    Over the weekend two freight packages on their way to the US from Yemen were intercepted in Europe and Dubai and found to contain bombs.

    intercept = block, discover

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V
