    but + however

    Could I use but and however together in a sentence, just as:
    The weather was stormy but, however we went out into wide open spaces.

    Maybe I am not qualified enough to offer you the help, but the sentence does sound weird to me.

    You have to strike one of the term out.

    Here are 2 more similar examples:
    1. The book is too long but, nonetheless, informative and entertaining.
    2. The old system had its flaws, but nevertheless it was preferable to the new one.

    Do you accept "but + however" in one sentence?

    No you can't use 'but' and 'however' together.
    However, the sentences above are correct.
