"Sorry, switchblade, I still belong to you"

it is said with sarcasm (and little humour)

Thanks

I have never seen this used, but I'd guess that switchblade has betrayed the speaker- we talk of people stabbing us, usually iin the back, when they betray us in some way.

Thanks Tdol

I've forgot to mention that this phrase is said by American guy

Anyway, I think your explanation is very related to the context, though somebody has told me it may mean a gang member... could he be right?

Thanks a lot

It could well be right- it makes sense. Do you have more of the context it comes from?

Castle: C'est après minuit dans une school night["It is after midnight on a school night" in French] . Don't you turn into a pumpkin or something ?

Alexis: Not when your dad's been escorted away by cops. How was the slammer ? Anyone make you their b!+ch ?

Castle: Sorry, switchblade. I still belong to you. [Pointing to the bottle of whipped his daughter] Baby bird ?

Alexis: I already brushed.

Here is the context ... would you please help me with the meaning of Baby bird here too

Thanks

Baby birds open their mouths when they want food, so I assume he's offering to spray some cream into her mouth (bottle of whipped = whipped cream) and she says she has already cleaned her teeth (brushed) as a way of declining the offer.

The slammer is prison and she's asking basically if he was raped in there, so I would go back to my original guess- he's calling her that because what she has just asked is a very nasty question. She's a switchblade because she's stabbing her father by asking that.

I haven't seen it, but this post says it's his daughter speaking The Pilot - Flowers For Your Grave Forums | Castle: ABC TV Series / Show Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic

Dialogue here: Script VO 101 - Castle
