    Smile bummer

    Please check out the following sentence. Which is acceptable or better?

    (1) On my way home after school, I trod on a pile of dog's poo. It was a real bummer to me.
    (2) On my way home after shcool, it was a real bummer to me to tread dog's poo.

    Try,

    (3) On my way home from school, I stepped in dog poo. What a real bummer (that was)!
