    within days

    Dear teachers,

Would you tell me whether I am right about my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

Juncker urged that the Irish government would have to decide on financial aid, with inevitable strings attached, within days.

within days = within the frame of a few days

    in the nearest days
    in two or tree days

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V

in the nearest days in the next few days.
in two or three days -possibly not quite such a short time as that. The idea ia 'days rather than weeks'. The period could be up to seven days, possibly more.
