is not the bad thing as/that it is often supposed to be

What would be the acceptable choice of words (such as “as” , “that” or left blank) that could/should be used in the following sentence? - “Stress is not the/a bad thing as/that/(blank) it is often supposed/thought to be.”

Stress is not the bad thing that it is often supposed/thought/considered to be.
Stress is not as bad as it is often supposed/thought/considered to be.
