    Question deceased = dead???

    Hi to All
please someone explain me did they report Fourisson died???
    What this text wantto say?

As for the American Jewish Committee, still in good stride, it has recently announced two false new items: according to its Paris correspondent (?), Roger Kaplan, the Fabius-Gayssot bill has not been passed and Faurisson is deceased.

I'm neither a teacher nor am I good at english.
In the above, it mentioned "false", which means the information they provided is wrong, I assume?

Which means the information they provided about Faruis being deceased, is false?

Basically this text means that the Jewish community announced two fake claims about Fabius-Gayssot bill has not been passed and Faurisson isdeceased.

Other experts please correct me if I am wrong.

    Re: deceased = dead???

Quite so. But the question was 'did they report Faurisson died?', and the heading: deceased = dead?
We need to know much more of the context to take this any further. As for 'false' and newspaper reporting we do not know enough to ascertain where or if there is anything false.

    Yes, you are essentially right.
'Deceased' does mean 'dead'. They mistakenly reported Faurisson dead. And the Fabius-Gayssot bill has been passed, and they mistakenly reported that it had not been.
(At least that's what the sentence means).
