    haggle

    Dear teacher,

Would you help me to make the proper choice of the interpretation of the word in bold in the following sentence?

For all the haggling in Cancun over finance, forestry, technology transfers and open accounting, very little has been said about climate targets.

haggle = bargain, barter, bicker, dispute, quarrel, squabble, wrangle

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V

    Re: haggle

As this is between politicians/diplomats the meaning is more negotiation than your suggestions.
