I try to combine the following two sentences into one by using the pattern "It is ... that... " as written. Is it acceptable?
(1) I gave her a present on her 18th birthday.
(2) She cherishes that present most of all.
It is the present that I gave her on her 18th birthday she cherishes most.
That's okay. She cherishes the present I gave her for her 18th birthday most is another way.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
