    expression

    Dear all,
Could you please help me check the following sentences? I need to know whether the expressions are correct and native-like. Thank you very much!

"He has mixed feelings that his son is old enough to sacrifice for other people. He also feels pity that his son has to give up the music, the one he loves most."

    Re: expression

Here's one way to say it:

He has mixed feelings about whether his son is old enough to make such a sacrifice. He's also sad that his son has to give up music, the thing he loves most.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
