Dear teachers,
Would you be kind enough to help to make the proper choice of the interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentences?
I know that he needs to make his own choices about where he goes and what he does ' and so I am kind of torn between saying, "This is what I think you ought to do," and saying, "Stay with the moment and focus on each day and your studies and the next day will take care of itself."
kind of = sort of = rather, somewhat
tear between = struggle to do [cope with] everything at once as in : he struggled to cope with one's work and study or be divided in one’s mind or be in two minds about
Thanks for your efforts.
Regards,
V
