    Is it correct to say....

    Dear teacher,
Offcourse my dad's native language is not English. While explaining something, he said " Before i jump to again over there." His intentions were for moving on to other topic. It sounds very incorrect. Would you please tell me that it is correct or wrong.
    Thanks in advance,
    Zaffar

He could use 'jump', but I'd say something like before I jump to/move on to (topic)'.
