    Preposition

"You posted a link to Jaik's wall."

That's from my Facebook wall. I would've used "on." Is "to" really correct?

    Thanks!

Did 'you' post a link to somewhere else on Jake's wall, or a link from somewhere else to Jake's wall?

I posted a YouTube link on Jaik's wall, so the latter.

So what's the difference between posting something on and posting something to someone's wall?

    Thanks!

    Re: Preposition

You post something on a wall or in/on a thread/forum/site. You provide a link to a site.

So "post something to someone's wall" is wrong, just as I suggested at the beginning?

Yes, but your example, "You posted a link to Jaik's wall" is acceptable if that is what the writer intended - i.e. s/he was providing a means by which somebody could go direct to the site of Jaik's wall.
